Representatives of nonprofits, local government, schools and other organizations from Wright County and the surrounding area are encouraged to register for the free Grant Writing 201 workshop presented by Iowa State University Extension.
Grant writers who want to upgrade and polish their skills are invited to Clarion on Tuesday, Jan 24 from 4:30- 8:30 p.m.
The target audience is individuals with prior grant writing experience and who have previously participated in Grant Writing 101. If you have grant writing experience but have not participated in Grant Writing 101, email Lindsay Henderson at email@example.com prior to registering and describe your prior grant writing experience in the email.
Participants are expected to work on a grant application during the workshop and should bring the grant announcement, RFP, or information for your grant program of interest. They should also bring a laptop.
Topics that will be addressed include documenting need, methodology, logic models, evaluation, and budgets, with participants encouraged to work on sections of their own grant application during the workshop as those sections are discussed.
The hands-on workshop is being sponsored by the Belmond Growth Alliance, Clarion Development Alliance, Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce, ISU Extension and Wright County Economic Development at no cost. A light meal will be served.
Registration is required by Jan. 23. Go to: https:// go.iastate.edu/QKAW8J.
